Tipper Truck Finance for Earthmoving and Civil Work
Tipper work follows the building cycle. When a housing estate or road job kicks off, there’s money to be made, but only if you have the truck in time. We help operators finance tippers quickly and in a way that copes with quiet patches between jobs. More options are on our truck finance broker page.
Body, chassis and dog trailer
Many tippers are bought as a cab-chassis with the tipper body built separately. The lender needs to know this from the start, because the money is paid in two parts: to the truck dealer and to the body builder. We arrange progress payments so the body builder isn’t left waiting and your settlement doesn’t stall.
If you’re adding a dog trailer to run as a truck and dog, it can usually be financed together with the truck.
Seasonal income
If your work drops off over winter or between contracts, tell us. Some lenders offer repayment structures that are easier to carry through slow months. We’ll also show you how a business overdraft can sit alongside the truck loan to cover fuel and wages while you wait on invoices.
What helps your application
A contract or a regular relationship with a builder, civil contractor or quarry, a clean credit file, and a deposit or trade-in. For a new ABN, evidence of past experience running a tipper.
Tipper Truck Finance: frequently asked questions
Can I finance a tipper body only?
Yes, as long as the body is fitted to a truck you own. Lenders will want the body builder’s quote and invoice.
Can I finance a used tipper from a private seller?
Yes. A PPSR search and usually an inspection are required. See used truck finance.
